"OUR DARLING" - VICTORIAN MOURNING - DEPARTED CHILD

A Ornate Victorian funeral piece circa 1860 to 1900s. The original "Our Darling" was probably a brass tag that was either inlaid or nailed into a coffin.

"Our Darling" is a term used when mourning children, and would be used to commemorate a death of child.

"Our Darling" were used on flowers, lapel pins and casket tags.

The funeral pin is cast in silver and I have converted it into a ring. It is hand oxidized to match the gunmetal band. Nearly an inch and a half long and slightly over an inch wide, making it a bold statement piece. And will be available soon as rings and necklaces. Shown here are the rings.
